This integration enhances team responsiveness by keeping everything organized in one place and allows teams to track, prioritize, and resolve issues faster. With automation in place, teams can focus more on problem-solving and less on administrative tasks, leading to increased productivity and improved overall performance.
Connecting your account with Jira is possible via popular third-party connectors Make and Zapier.
To get started, you need to connect your account with Make or Zapier.
- Here is how to connect Zapier: https://support.faceup.com/en/zapier-integration-overview
- This manual explains how to connect Make: https://support.faceup.com/en/make-integration-overview
Now that you have created a connection with either Make or Zapier, you can connect FaceUp to Jira.
We will connect it via Zapier in the example below.
- Create a new Zap in your Zapier account.
- In the Trigger section, choose FaceUp and choose from the three available events (new Jira issues will be created based on this event):
- New internal comment
- New report
- New message
- Once you've done that, click continue. You should then test your trigger to make sure it's working properly.
- Then, add Action. Search for Jira and choose from the available events. In this case, we will choose the “Create Issue” event.
- Then in the Account section, connect your Jira account (click on the Sign in button). After that, you'll need to authorize Zapier to access your account.
- Next, set up the Action details by defining the Project where issues will be created, specifying the issue type, assignee, description, labels, etc. Once you've configured the necessary details, click Continue and Test step.
- Once your zap is successfully tested hit Publish.
Good job! There will be a new Jira issue created automatically whenever a new report is received in your account.
